If high lipid levels are left untreated, they can build up in the walls of the vessels carrying blood around the body which, over time, can lead to narrowing of these vessels. This medicine may be taken on an empty stomach or with food. DO NOT TAKE ANTACIDS for at least 2 hours after taking this medicine.This medicine should be taken regularly to get the most benefit from it. Taking this medicine at the same time each day will help you remember. IT IS IMPORTANT TO CONTINUE TAKING THIS MEDICINE even if you feel well. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as possible. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular dosing schedule. Do NOT take 2 doses at once. IT MAY TAKE 2 to 4 WEEKS before the full benefit of this medicine is seen
