Vytorin is a prescription medication for controlling your blood cholesterol. It contains two active ingredients, ezetimibe and simvastatin. Vytorinis widely accepted cholesterol lowering drug aimed at reducing the level of LDL and increasing the level of HDL, thereby reducing the risk associated for coronary artery disease and stroke. US Food and Drug Administration has approved. Vytorin for the treatment of high LDL cholesterol (LDL-C) in patients as adjunctive therapy to diet when diet alone is not enough.

Vytorin is the first product approved to treat the two sources of cholesterol both hereditary and dietary by inhibiting the production of cholesterol in the liver and blocking the absorption of cholesterol in the intestine.
