Heartgard (Ivermectin) is for use in animals only, and it is used to help prevent a feline heartworm disease. The active ingredients prevent this disease as it is able to eliminate the first tissue stage of the heartworm larvae. The medication will also help to remove and control hookworms which may become present in the body of your feline companion.
